KiiChain is a modular layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for emerging financial markets. Its infrastructure is created for the tokenization of real-world assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), payment settlement, and much more. The platform aims to bring blockchain technology to the markets that need it the most, enabling the creation of innovative and accessible financial solutions.
KiiChain, in collaboration with DoraHacks, invites Web3 enthusiasts to participate in its virtual HACKATHON: Kickin’ it with KiiChain. This event is designed to motivate participants to demonstrate their skills and develop Web3 applications and solutions within the KiiChain ecosystem. The hackathon encourages limitless creativity and collaboration in building crucial infrastructures for emerging regions.

– Project Development: From July 15 to August 30
– Submission Deadline: August 30 at 12 pm EST
– Evaluation: From September 1 to September 5

Participation and Rules
The HACKATHON is open to developers, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in blockchain and Web3 technology. We encourage everyone to participate, even if they have no previous hackathon experience. This includes gamers, who can provide valuable perspectives in terms of user experience and interface testing.
– Registration: Interested participants must register on the hackathon platform through KiiChain Hackathon.
– Team Formation: Participants can form teams or work individually. Teams can collaborate online using tools like Discord to communicate and share ideas.
– Project Development: Participants must develop their projects using the KiiChain testnet. Documentation and development resources are available to assist participants on their journey.
– Project Submission: Projects must be submitted before the deadline of August 30 at 12 pm EST. GitHub repositories can remain private during the hackathon but must be made public afterward under the BSL 1.1 license.
– Legal Compliance: Participants must ensure that their projects comply with all applicable laws and regulations and do not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
Tracks and Prizes
The HACKATHON is divided into three main tracks, each with its own set of prizes:
- Infrastructure and Tools: Up to 750,000 KII tokens + 5,000 USDT.
– Suggested projects include validator deployers, validator management dashboards, and cross-chain asset management tools.
- DeFi: Up to 750,000 KII tokens + 5,000 USDT.
– Projects in this category include decentralized exchanges (DEX), disruptive DeFi applications, and lending and borrowing platforms.
- Open Innovation: Up to 500,000 KII tokens + 5,000 USDT.
– Here participants can develop any innovative project they consider valuable for the KiiChain ecosystem.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on six criteria:
- Originality and Creativity: Valuing revolutionary ideas that bring new solutions to the blockchain ecosystem.
- Impact on the Ecosystem: Seeking projects that enhance the functionality and accessibility of the KiiChain ecosystem.
- Security and Robustness: Evaluating the robustness and reliability of smart contracts.
- Efficiency and Performance: Considering resource efficiency and overall application performance.
- Scalability and Interoperability: Projects that can grow and adapt to an increasing number of users and transactions and connect easily with other blockchains.
- Simplicity and Usability: Intuitive and easy-to-use designs that enable rapid adoption by end users
Expert Judges
The HACKATHON will feature a panel of expert judges from the blockchain industry, including prominent developers and professionals from the KiiChain team, Wise Lending, Neptune Finance, Lbank Labs, and Digital Compass.
